Plant Power

Hemp Seed Oil is getting some serious attention at the moment. It is a beautiful, rich green oil with a mild nutty scent. Not to be confused with CBD oil, it comes from the same plant but is extracted from a different part. CBD oil is an extract that comes from the flowers, leaves and stems of the plant whereas hemp oil is extracted by cold pressing the seeds of the plant. Hemp seed oil does not contain any cannabidiol or THC (the psychoactive component of the cannabis sativa plant).

Hemp has been cultivated for thousands of years; it's extremely easy to grow and is highly sustainable, helping to clear out the soil of weeds and providing food and shelter for lots of wildlife. Our hemp oil is cold pressed and unrefined so it retains all the incredible nutrients.

What's inside?

It's all down to the composition of the oil. Hemp has the optimal ratio of fatty acids. It has a 3:1 ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 which is considered the perfect ratio for skin health. The combination of fatty acids, Vitamin E and amino acids, means by using Hemp Oil, you can experience some of the vital skincare benefits you need for radiant, healthy skin. The Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids help soften and soothe skin, aid water retention, nourish and protect whilst also having anti-inflammatory properties. The Vitamin E in the Hemp as well as the amino acids and minerals all help to fight skin damaging free radicals and promote overall skin health. This remarkable composition makes hemp oil truly a wonder oil for skin and hair.

It does not clog pores, is non greasy and readily absorbed. A few minutes after it is applied you would not know it was on, however, your skin is left looking and feeling great.

Zoe

Love it! Great for hair, I drowned my hair in it, left for an hour, then washed it off. The results were amazing!

Great products every time, very reliable and good value. Great value, perfect for what I needed it for (mixing into a homemade moisturiser).

How to use it

The easiest way to introduce hemp into your routine is to simply apply it straight from the bottle. It makes a wonderful face and body moisturiser and can be applied directly to the skin.

Hemp is a very popular ingredient in many skin and hair care products. You can use it in your own homemade beauty products too. Here are some of our favourite DIY products to make using Hemp.

  • 1g White Beeswax

Melt the ingredients in a beaker in the microwave or bain-marie and give them a good stir.
