Why This Blend Works

Natural soy wax provides a clean, even burn and excellent fragrance throw without releasing synthetic petroleum by-products. Blending high-grade vanilla or sandalwood fragrance oil directly into the melted wax ensures an even distribution of fragrance throughout your living space, from the first light to the final burn.

Formulation & Instructions

Ingredients:

Equipment:

  • 1 × heat-safe glass jar or tin (200 ml capacity)
  • Digital thermometer and double boiler
  • Wick centring tool or peg

Method:

  1. Secure the wick base to the centre of your clean container using a small drop of melted wax or a glue dot. Keep the wick upright using a centring tool.
  2. Place the soy wax flakes into your double boiler over a medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until fully melted (around 65–70°C).
  3. Remove the wax from the heat and allow it to cool to 60°C. Pour in 12 ml of your chosen vanilla or sandalwood fragrance oil and stir gently for 60 seconds to mix evenly.
  4. Carefully pour the liquid wax into your prepared container, leaving 1 cm of space at the top. Allow it to cool and cure at room temperature for 24 hours.
  5. How to use: Trim the wick to 5 mm before lighting. Burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time for optimal scent throw and a clean burn.
